Yanbing Li
Professor Yanbing Li, MD & PhD, the director of the Department of Endocrinology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. She is also the Chairman of Guangdong Diabetes Association, Council member of the Chinese Diabetes Society, Deputy Chief of the Chinese Glucose Monitoring Group. Her main researches focused on the islet beta-cell function and protection, pathogenesis and prevention and treatment of diabetic complications. She had published more than 150 articles, including papers with the first author or corresponding author published in famous journal such as Lancet, Diabetes Care, JCEM, Metabolism, Thyroid etc. She was awarded the first prize for Progress in Science and Technology from the Ministry of Education in 2007, the first prize for Progress in Science and Technology from Guangdong Government in 2008, and also the second prize of National science and technology progress award in 2011.
