Miao Yu
Miao Yu is an associate professor of the Endocrinology Department at Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH). She currently serves as vice president of the National Youth Committee of Chinese Diabetes Society (CDS), committee member of the CDS Microvascular complication Study Group and Basic Research & Translational Medicine Study Group. Dr. Yu had been strictly and systemically trained in basic and clinical research during the period of working on Ph.D. of molecular pathology in the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences (IBMS) of Chinese Academy of Medical Science (CAMS) and M.D. in the Endocrinology Department of PUMCH. Since then, her research interest has been mainly focused on molecular genetics of the monogenic glucose metabolism disorders and the molecular pathogenesis of T2DM and its macrovascular complications for fifteen years, with more than twenty research papers published. She is now the principle investigator of several national and international grants and the reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals including The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, Journal of Diabetes and Chinese Journal of Diabetes.
